Southern Gauteng has an active league with a number of clubs participating. The year is split into two with the Doubles League starting in late February / early March and the Major League starting in May. The league takes a break for a few weeks during late July / early August. All players who take part in the leagues have to be registered to a club which in turn registers with the provincial body.
